Professor Vasile Bogdan's Collection

This collection includes original documents donated by Professor Vasile Bogdan, PhD, Babeș-Bolyai University. These documents detail the Holocaust experiences of survivors Alexandru (Sandor) and Elisabeta Goldenberg, the parents of Professor Vasile Bogdan, PhD. The collection comprises documents detailing a variety of issues, ranging from Alexandru and Elisabeta's deportation to the camps at Gutowo and Dachau, to their liberation by the Allies, to their return home and the reconstruction of their lives despite the physical and psychological trauma of the Holocaust.
