Description
The privilege granted by Gabriel Bethlen (1613-1629) guaranteed the Jews the right to housing, the right to freedom of movement within the principality, as well as the right to leave it with all their possessions, the right to practice free trade under the auspices of the prince, the right to freedom of religion, and the right to pay taxes equal to those in their country of origin.
