Message sent by a fellow detainee of Pál Lusztig's in late 1944

Message sent to Pál Lusztig by a fellow detainee in late 1944, after his release from the forced labour camp in Szentkirályszabadja (Hungary), while they were on their way to Cluj while trying to simultaneously hide from both the Hungarian Army and the Romanian one. Pál is urged by his friend to muster up the strength to endure the complete lack of water on the way home and to rip up the piece of paper after reading his message.
